For on-site Dairyland testing you'll need:

NIR Instrument

Dairyland's systems are compatible with the following instruments:

Foss
- DS3, DS3F
- DS2500, DS2500F
- XDS
- 6500, 5000

BlueSun
- Phoenix 5000
- Phoenix 5000 Forage
- ITG M5

Blue Sun Scientific FOSS Analytical
Grinding mill

Most feeds need to be ground prior to analysis.

Grinding samples increases accuracy by:

- Reducing the variation in sub-samples
- Exposing the contents of grain kernels to NIR detection
- Enabling analysis of pellets, grains, and meals from a single NIR database

Dairyland's systems require a cyclone type mill with a 1mm screen.

Drying Oven

Drying improves the accuracy of NIR systems and is required for most feed types. Dairyland has experience with a variety of drying systems and will work with you to help select what works best for your situation.
